We are delighted to welcome Noah Bar-Shain to Beth Jacob for these unprecedented Yamim Noraim as our Ba’al Tefilah. Noah joins us after years of leading A Cappella Jewish groups, and is an up-and-coming Jewish singer, arranger, and producer who also has experience with High Holy Day Tefilot. As the grandson and nephew of members of our community he knows us well, and has worked extensively with Rabbi Albert to understand our spiritual needs.

Rabbi Shua Brick

Please help us give a warm welcome to Rav Shua Brick, who just arrived on Sunday and is joining our community as our Director of Family Learning.

Rabbi Brick’s role at Beth Jacob will involve reimagining youth engagement during this uncertain time, as well as planning for how we can continue to meet the needs of young families in the future. For those of you who loved the adult learning that Rabbi Brick brought to our community – don’t worry. He’ll continue to play an active role in our adult education program as well.

Rabbi Ezra Cohen

We benefited greatly from last year’s experience with Rabbi Shua Brick and look forward to welcoming Ezra Cohen to Beth Jacob as this year’s Rabbinic Intern.

Rabbi Ezra will join our community (either virtually or in real life) for approximately five weekends throughout the coming year, and spend time learning about the community rabbinate from Rabbi Albert. He is a third-year rabbinical student at Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (YU), and has previously served as a rabbinic intern at Congregation Ohr Torah in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a talented educator with a passion for psychology and its relationship with Judaism, and is a close student of Rabbi Judah Dardik.

We look forward to learning from Reb Ezra as he gets to know our community!
